Tear thru the skies over clear blue seas in a breezy short-form arcade action game inspired by an old fave of mine.

Rescue the peeps! Collect the crates! We don't know why or what's even in them but hey, they're beeping so they must be good, right? But be sure to check your 6, as ufos, deadly storms and the Reckless Endangerment Display Squad are all out to ruin your day. Well they've got nothing against you personally tbh, but they're kind of careless, reckless or An Actual Force Of Nature so y'know. Videogames!

  • Potentially infuriating control system whether you're using keys or a gamepad!
  • Seriously it's like flying a little RC heli or something
  • Chipper synth-poppy soundtrack
  • Cutesy pixel art nonsense
  • 'Chill' mode for when you just want to bop around in a little chopper

Heys wanted to as, what was the inspiration for this game? Also love the game btw, it was a blast to play.

It was heavily inspired by an old ZX Spectrum game called Cyclone, the basic idea was to take the fundamentals of that and develop it into a more polished, arcadey take on the same concept.

And thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it!

This is a nice, chill game. Would it be possible to support downloading it through the desktop app?

Hi there, glad you like it! I can't promise it anytime soon as things are a little busy at the moment but I will look into it in the near future!

Thanks—itch said to tell support if something doesn’t install through the desktop app, so I did and now it seems to work fine. I guess they can just hook it up on their end.

The moment I saw the screenshots, I immediately thought of the old Spectrum game "Cyclone". It has the grapple, the ambush planes, and the terrifying weather phenomenon. Nice <3

Love it! Reminds me of Desert Strike/Jungle Strike, and a bit of Zone 66. Even a bit of Striker (1985 CGA helicopter game).

I do have some issues though; where can I post bugs/crashlogs etc. ?

- a crash though when I play chill mode; (cyclone destroy fails)

- playing with PS4 controller is very wonky; I can't fly straight, but always turn left or right when trying to go forward.

You can post issues here, that's fine, or on my Twitter at @farfromsleep if you prefer.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying it! I'll have to look into that crash and see what I can do about it, I'll try and get a fix out soon. I'll have another run at the controller code too, I might have made the deadzones on controllers a little too twitchy in general.

Just put out a quick patch to fix the cyclone crash, all downloads should now lead to the new fixed version. Also did some minor tweaks to the stick controls to hopefully calm that drift down a little bit, might have to look into that more with a later update though. Hope that's some help at least :)

Yup, it's perfect now! Both issues fixed. Thought you might like the feedback.

Very remeniscient of the "Strike" games that came out a long time ago.

Dude, what a potent dose of copter chaos! I dig it!

Short & sweet; does not overstay its welcome, and the chunky pixel art & voxely vehicles are lovely! Great work! :D
